Launch party for first edition debut of SCUMZINE magazine
A few words from Elijah Co-founder SCUMZINE
Being a writer is shite sometimes. The job is full of endless rejections. Over and over, your work isn’t quite what we’re looking for, etc. You get used to it. However, it’s still tedious as fuck not gaining any professional traction whilst pouring hours of your time and soul onto paper. My friend Jake and I both thought, “fuck it”, we’ll just have to make our own magazine and publish ourselves in that. Ergo, “SCUMZINE”, agonisingly birthed itself over the last few months. The 25th of May will be a pop up exhibition of artists and writers who have contributed to the mag, mostly from Belfast area, N.Ireland and abroad. We will be launching the magazine at @artceterastudio43 in an attempt to sell out 50 copies, if there’s demand we’d be absolutely delighted to print more.
