Heavenly Bodies is a joint exhibition by Belfast based artists Padraig Dobbin and Jenna Harrison. Although complete separate entities when it comes to style, both artists are fascinated by the human body and what it means to be a sexual being in the technological era where emotions have become harder to express, relationships are harder to sustain, insecurity dominates and sex is easy.
This exhibition is an autobiographical account of the artists own intimate experiences that has been hypersexualised in reflection of her fashion design background. It is about different types of love - real love, drunk love, looking for love in the wrong places and losing love, all of which is portrayed in a bold and playful manner. These pieces are snapshots into the sex and romantic life of a young, liberated woman in the 21st Century.
